Cheesy Sausage Stuffing Balls

A new spin on the classic appetizer, these cheesy sausage stuffing balls are easy to whip up and always a crowd pleaser.

Ingredients
  

Stuffing Mixture

  • 1 box stove top stuffing 6 oz size
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 lb ground sausage quality sausage recommended
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese quality cheese recommended

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Bring the water to a boil in a medium pot, stir in the stuffing mix to evenly incorporate, and set aside to let it cool completely.
  • Transfer the cooled moistened stuffing to a large mixing bowl. Add the cheese and sausage. Mix together until evenly combined.
  • Roll the sausage mixture into 1 - 1 ½" balls and place them on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Do this until all the dough's been used.
  • Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill the unbaked sausage balls for 1 hour.
  • Bake at 350° for 25 minutes, or until cooked through.

Notes

While any variety of stove top stuffing mix will work, favorites include: chicken, pork, or the sage flavors. Don't forget to cover your baking pan with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
